A new facility has opened at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, for integrated processing of air freight exports.
The unit integrates administrative requirements from the Afghanistan Customs Department and other government ministries, as well as the Afghanistan National Standards Authority.
The facility “significantly reduces the time required to export goods by streamlining and automating customs documentation”, according to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which financed the programme under its Afghanistan Trade and Revenue Project.
