Five leading airline catering providers with a combined annual turnover of EUR9.9 billion (USD12.2 billion) have set up the not-for-profit Airline Catering Association (ACA).
In its launch announcement, ACA added that it was open to “all companies with sizeable international activities in the airline catering business”.
Founding members – dnata, Do & Co, gategroup, LSG Group, and Newrest – said that Brussels-based ACA would represent and promote common interests related to food, health and safety, the environment, and taxation. ACA would also “monitor and support relevant regulatory initiatives at the global, European and national levels”.
Fabio Gamba, ex-CEO of the European Business Aviation Association, has been appointed as managing director, effective from March 2018.
