A recently completed terminal upgrade at Charleston International Airport in the United States includes standardisation of IT and security infrastructure on Pivot3 hyper-converged solutions.
The USD200 million rejuvenation project at the South Carolina airport included an overhaul of the data centre, security, surveillance, and access control systems. It incorporated a transition from a stand-alone server environment to a hyper-converged infrastructure.
Charleston plans to add more data centre applications on the Pivot3 platform, which has expanded its data storage capacity to 250 terabytes.
Pivot3 aggregates resources from multiple servers to allow multiple users to access data from a single platform.
