The SAGA airport surface surveillance solution from ALTYS Technologies went into full operation at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in the first week of March 2018, following four months of testing.
“The operationalisation of SAGA will further enhance safety through real-time monitoring of aircraft and vehicle movements at the operational areas,” said Rajeev Jain, CEO of airport operator MIAL.
SAGA provides real-time monitoring of aircraft and vehicle movements in the airfield operational areas, using data from the airport surface and terminal area surveillance infrastructure. It provides statistical reports and alarm features for the airport operator aimed at improving safety and efficiency of operations.
