Croatia faces ECJ penalty over failure to implement regulations

The European Commission is taking Croatia to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) for failing to implement aviation security rules.

Regulation 300/2008 requires all EU member states to update their national aviation security legislation on a regular basis “to ensure that any security issue is swiftly detected and corrected”.

However, according to a note from the Commission, despite repeated requests, “Croatia still has not formally updated the relevant legislation”.
