BBA Aviation is to acquire EPIC Fuels and its related businesses, DBA Epic Fuels and QTpod, pending government and regulatory approvals.
The value of the deal, announced by BBA on 23 May, is USD88.1 million in cash.
BBA added that it expects EPIC Fuels to continue operating independently “within the BBA Aviation portfolio”, but the combination of EPIC Fuels and fixed-based operator (FBO) Signature Flight Support “will provide expanded choices for business and general aviation customers”. EPIC Fuels serves 205 FBO sites in the United States (including 20 as UVair). When Signature stations are taken into account, the BBA-owned network of FBOs will grow to more than 400 locations.
