France-based airport operator Groupe ADP is boosting its Innovation Hub strategy by investing in White Star Capital.
Groupe ADP announced on 4 June that it will have a seat on the White Star Capital board, “which will enable it to play a full part in the fund’s decisions”.
White Star Capital has offices in London, Montréal, New York, and Paris. It supports mid-stage entrepreneurs to accelerate their international rollout. The fund has invested in more than 20 technology start-ups since it was established in 2015.
Groupe ADP set up the Innovation Hub in March 2017, with a dual investment model: taking direct minority stakes in start-ups, and involvement with external funds such as White Star Capital, “to broaden the scope of its technological awareness and to benefit from complementary expertise in targeting start-ups that could become strategic partners of the group”.
