INFORM has developed a new module for providers of services for passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) who use its GroundStar ground-handling software suite.
“The number of PRMs is increasing and operators now have more service level agreements in place,” explained Jan Willem Kappes, business development manager in the INFORM aviation division, “so they need to show how they quickly react to a request for PRM transport, and that their delivery to the aircraft is achieved in a reasonable amount of time.”
If the full GroundStar solution is used, it is possible to know the real-time location of all PRM buggies, using iBeacons.
