Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) on 13 September released a request for qualifications (RFQ) to industry for the 88-acre LAX Northside Area project at Los Angeles International Airport.
Interested developers must submit their input by 31 October.
The LAX Northside scheme envisages development of non-aeronautical commercial, civic, and leisure infrastructure on a site near the northern boundary of the airfield. The land was acquired in the 1980s, and LAWA held a series of meetings between 2010 and 2017 with local residents to discuss future plans.
