Spanish airports operator Aena Aeropuertos forecasts net profit of EUR1.2 billion in 2018 from turnover of EUR4.2 billion, rising to EUR1.3 billion profit and turnover of EUR4.36 billion in 2019.
The figures were revealed in its new strategic plan for 2018–21, which was presented to the Spanish Stock Market Commission on 10 October.
Aena said that it will focus on expansion into Latin America and Europe (where it is already present), while also examining “attractive” opportunities that may arise in Asia, the Middle East, and North America.
After record passenger volume in recent years, Aena predicts slower growth of 2% in 2019 than the 5.5% forecast for 2018.
