Glasgow buys Rosenbauer vehicles

Glasgow Airport in the UK has added to its fleet of aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) vehicles with three new Panther 6×6s from Austrian manufacturer Rosenbauer.

The value of the deal was undisclosed.

Performance characteristics of the Panther 6×6 include a 750-hp engine, a top speed of 120 km/h, and capacity to apply 14,000 litres of extinguishing agent at a pump output of 9,000 litres per minute. Other features on the vehicles for Glasgow, which enable fires to be attacked from a safe distance, include a new STINGER high-reach extendable boom that can reach a height of 16.5 m, and an RM65 water turret with a range of 90 m.
