TSA issues cyber roadmap

24 December 2018

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has unveiled a roadmap that guides efforts to prioritise cyber security measures within the agency and across the transport sector in the US.

The roadmap stresses the risks to critical cyber and physical transportation infrastructure, and provides a way forward to improve and protect the systems from threats. It identifies four major priorities: identify cyber security risks; reduce vulnerabilities; mitigate consequences if and when incidents do occur; and strengthen security and ensure the resilience of the overall system.

TSA Administrator David Pekoske said the Cybersecurity Roadmap closely aligns with broader Department of Homeland Security priorities.
