Brussels and Hong Kong forge pharma connection

10 January 2019

Brussels Airport and Hong Kong International Airport have launched an airport-to-airport (A2A) pharma corridor, offering services catering to the specific needs of pharmaceutical shipments. In collaboration with Pharma.Aero, the initiative aims to offer service offerings and standards that provide assurance in handling quality of temperature-sensitive pharma products.

After the launch, the initiative will be extended to other Pharma.Aero member airports to form a network of pharma corridors.

Brussels and Hong Kong are both certified in the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma) programme, which guarantees that airport cargo service providers adhere to high standards in handling pharmaceutical shipments.
