Václav Havel Airport in Prague processed 16.8 million passengers in 2018, marking a new annual record and a 9% year-on-year increase.
Aircraft movements grew by 4.9% to 155,530 takeoffs and landings.
Three new airlines launched services from the Czech airport in 2018, and seven new destinations were added. The United Kingdom was the most popular destination with a 13.1% increase to 2.06 million passengers.
“We were able to significantly enhance the long-haul segment by increasing both the number of frequencies and capacity, and by launching brand new routes,” said Prague Airport chairman Vaclav Rehor.
