Ferrovial SA is re-absorbing Ferrovial International, which includes a 25% stake in UK hub Heathrow, after operating separately since 2014.
The split had been aimed at giving the international subsidiary greater autonomy and flexibility in the markets, Ferrovial informed Spanish authorities. However, there was now no longer any benefit from having this dual structure and the parent group said a merger will enable it to rationalise management and reduce administration costs.
