Vanderlande set for FLEET trials in Hong Kong

12 February 2019

Vanderlande is to field its FLEET automonous guided vehicle solution for baggage logistics at one of the busiest hub airports in the world, after sealing an innovation partnership agreement with Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK).

Initial trials at Hong Kong International Airport are expected to begin in March.

Announcing the agreement on 12 February, Vanderlande said the project will enable it to “further develop the various application areas of FLEET and test these innovations in a live airport environment”. For its part, AAHK announced that it will explore how FLEET can improve operational efficiency and working conditions in the baggage hall.
