Atoun has provided 20 “powered wear” units for JAL Ground Service baggage and cargo handlers at Narita and Haneda international airports in Tokyo, Japan. The Atoun Model Y is designed to reduce the physical burden on handlers, thereby removing or limiting gender and age constraints.

The wearable robotic device supports the waist and back, and assists in loading items from conveyor belts to containers in warehouses. An arm assist function will also be tested for baggage- and cargo-handling at the two Tokyo airports.
