Net profits at Spanish airport operator Aena Aeropuertos rose by 7.8% to EUR1.32 billion (USD1.5 billion) in 2018, the company announced on 26 February.
Consolidated income was up 7.3% on the previous year at EUR4.32 billion, including 9.6% growth in airport commercial revenues to EUR1.16 billion. EBITDA increased by 5.5% to EUR2.65 billion.
Aena slashed its debts to EUR6.65 billion by the end of 2018, from EUR7.1 billion in 2017.
In January the majority state-owned network announced record passenger traffic of 263.8 million for 2018.
