Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport has ordered the veriScan biometric boarding system from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), which developed the technology.

The two-step veriScan system will be implemented for all airlines operating international routes over the next 12–15 months.

Dallas/Fort Worth is piloting several programmes that will integrate new technology into the passenger journey, and the introduction of facial recognition for international departures will assist airlines in meeting the congressionally mandated Biometric Exit requirement.
