Azerbaijan Air Navigation Services (AZANS) has selected consultancy Helios for planning support, as the air navigation service provider (ANSP) intends to upgrade its communication, navigation, and surveillance systems (CNS) infrastructure.
Helios will assess infrastructure run by AZANS with a focus on improving efficiency and operational effectiveness. It will create a strategic and technical roadmap for the ANSP to be fully aligned with future air traffic management (ATM) architecture. The roadmap will include an action plan covering capacity, new technology, safety, and cost efficiency.
“This project will enable us to fully prepare for the future, improve our efficiency, and take advantage of innovative technologies,” said Farhan Guliyev, director of the AZANS Air Traffic Department.
