PTE 2019: Changi picks BEUMER for O&M work

BEUMER Group is continuing its relationship with Singapore Changi Airport after it was awarded an operations and maintenance contract for the baggage-handling equipment it previously installed in Terminals 2, 3, and 4.

BEUMER will undertake year-round operational and maintenance support of the baggage-handling system as part of an overall care package.

Despite a consistent rise in passenger traffic at Changi in the past five years (reaching 65.6 million in 2018), along with a concomitant increase in the number of bags handled (26,000 items per day), the number of staff employed by BEUMER at the airport has remained unchanged.
