Germany-based secunet exhibited a new range of self-service kiosks, document readers, and border control equipment at PTE 2019, ahead of a surge in demand anticipated by the company before European Union countries implement the EU Entry-Exit System (EES) in the early 2020s.

One product, called Bocoa, is offered as an intuitive application for mobile and stationary identity checks, which can be used for document authentication and passenger identification at border control. According to secunet, Bocoa delivers an overview of relevant results from the visual and electronic document inspection, as well as information from background check queries and biometric data comparisons.

All results from different sources and devices are displayed on a single on-screen display.
