ST Engineering and BYD combine for autonomous bus development

12 April 2019

ST Engineering Land Systems is expanding its bus portfolio with the inclusion of BYD, as the two parties prepare to form a consortium for the pilot deployment of autonomous buses and shuttles in Singapore.

China-headquartered BYD has wide experience in supplying electric apron buses to airports. It previously worked with ST Engineering Land Systems on the development of the ST Engineering STROBO range of adaptable and scalable autonomous material-handling equipment (such as forklifts, pallet trucks, and tow tractors) for use in airports and industrial environments.
