Saudi Ground Services Company (SGS) is overhauling its information and technology (IT) systems, a senior company official confirmed during the 2019 Airport Show held in Dubai from 29 April to1 May.
“We are implementing a new system [from German ground-handling IT specialist INFORM], which will link manpower, rostering and equipment,” said SGS commercial director Abdullah Marie Al Ghamdi. “It is an IT solution…which will give real-time views of equipment needed.”
SGS selected INFORM in August 2018. King Abdulaziz International in Jeddah will be the first Saudi airport to operate the new system in October, followed by King Khalid International in Riyadh, and King Fahd International in Dammam.
