US-based INDECT Electronics and Distribution has completed what it described as the “the world’s largest camera-based parking guidance installation” at Istanbul Airport in Turkey.
Installation and rollout – carried out by a team of workers from Istanbul Airport operator İGA – took three months.
The 624,000-m 2 car park with five interconnected garages, built in Phase Ia of the Istanbul Airport project, includes 3,300 Upsolut sensors from INDECT that cover more than 16,000 spaces and 550 wayfinding signs.
Upsolut employs license plate recognition software to help passengers find their vehicles using an INDECT car locator within the İGA Airport app on iOS and Android devices.
