The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners (BOAC) has adopted an Electric Vehicle Purchasing Policy (EVPP) for Los Angeles International and Van Nuys airports.
The EVPP increases all-electric light vehicle purchases to 50% of the total fleet by the end of 2017; 80% by 2025; and 100% by 2035. Greenhouse gas (GHG)-emitting vehicles will be phased out over this period. The policy aligns with broader GHG-reduction policies for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), such as its Alternative Fuels Program.
