Belgian geospatial and software company Luciad was acquired by Sweden’s Hexagon, the two companies announced on 4 October.
Luciad develops systems to help with the visualisation and analysis of geospatial information in real-time. The applications for the company’s software in the air traffic control domain has seen the user base include NATO and the Colombian Air Force, with military customers understood to account for around 70% of revenues.
The company’s systems have been also utilised by the French military, as well as Lufthansa.
