Holland Aviation used inter airport Europe in October to introduce a new windsock assembly produced in collaboration with Exel Composites, equipped with internal and external lighting. Developed at the request of Singapore Changi Airport, the double-lighted windsock assembly provides a reliable device that minimises the risk of runways or taxiways being closed because of windsock light failure.
Holland Aviation also displayed its solar-powered lighted windsock assembly which – like all the company’s assemblies – includes no moving electrical parts.
Holland Aviation supplies trailer-mounted battery-powered lighting kits, designed to cover runway lengths of up to 1,860 m. Features include infrared light for military applications, and remote control functions.
