The ATVehicle airside driving simulator from UFA, combined with its ATTower simulator, immerses operators in the airfield environment to provide scenarios to test a team of operators at the same time.
International airport applications include Munich in Germany, and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion in Israel, where two driver positions are used to train fire crew and other airfield operations teams.
ATVehicle is designed to simulate different vehicle types ranging from tow trucks to security and emergency vehicles, while ATTower creates realistic training scenarios. The simulations can be standardised, with driver performance measured and areas identified for improvement. The training environment can also feature UFA voice recognition technology to generate appropriate feedback and responses using a text-to-speech system.
