Having already established itself in the European market, Materna continues to extend its brand across North America, into Latin America, and across the Pacific.
Rita LaDouceur, Materna airport solutions manager–America, mentioned a recent sale in Mexico to an unnamed customer. Speaking to Jane’s , she said that Materna aims to win additional business in Latin America, adding that recent North American wins include the sale of a suite of check-in kiosks and self-bag drop (SBD) machines to Minneapolis–St Paul International Airport in the United States.
Some 70 airports worldwide already use automation software and hardware from the German-headquartered company for automated passenger check-in and baggage handling.
