Muscat streamlines critical communications

06 December 2017

Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) has awarded US-based Everbridge a multi-year contract to install its Critical Event Management (CEM) platform at Muscat International Airport.

The value of the deal was undisclosed.

Everbridge CEM will be deployed to streamline and accelerate communications in the event of an emergency, by automating multiple processes that were previously carried out manually.

The new platform allows OAMC to implement an alert notification structure reflecting the 12 codes in the airport emergency plan for Muscat International. These codes allow the main operational control centre at Muscat, and emergency services at the airport, to categorise incidents and determine which specific recipients should be notified via mobile app, SMS, voice message, or email when an emergency or major incident occurs.
