Swissport has signed an agreement to acquire Aerocare, which serves 36 airports in Australia and New Zealand and manages more than 160,000 flights and 15 million passengers annually. The acquisition will represent a significant expansion for Swissport in the Australasian market, as well as enabling further growth in the Asia-Pacific market.
The acquisition is expected to close imminently.
Following the closing of the acquisition in the coming weeks, Swissport will invest to continue growing Aerocare operations. The Aerocare management team will continue in post in its Australian headquarters.
Swissport is owned by China-based HNA Group.
