Work will begin in 2020 on replacing the ageing automated people mover (APM) system at the main passenger terminal in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
According to Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) Managing Director Badlisham Ghazali, it will take at least two years for the construction and placing of a new system to be fully operational. According to Deputy Transport Minister Abdul Aziz Kaprawi, the new APM is expected to cost USD75 million.
Badlisham said MAHB was “evaluating its options” for a tender.
